Are you a technical sales professional with a proven track record of winning complex deals and building long-term customer relationships? Qamcom Research and Technology is now looking for a Regional Business Manager for Linköping — a role where sales is the core and leadership is the means.
About Qamcom
Qamcom is a specialist consultancy within research and product development, focusing on intelligent, connected systems. Our expertise spans sensors, radar, image and signal processing, embedded hardware and software, wireless communication systems, and functional safety. We take responsibility from proof-of-concept to serial production — and we are now looking for someone who can open doors to the customers who need exactly that.
About the Role
This is fundamentally a sales role with regional ownership. You are responsible for identifying, processing, and winning assignments from customers in the Linköping region — primarily within the defense industry, automotive, and manufacturing sectors. In parallel, you lead an engineering team focused on hardware, embedded systems, and functional safety, and you hold full responsibility for the region's growth and profitability.
A typical business case involves a technical solution in the form of a project valued at 5–20 MSEK, with a sales cycle of 2–12 months starting with a feasibility study or a consulting assignment as the first step in the relationship, where the decision-making process involves technical buyers and procurement. You are expected to handle initial customer meetings independently and have the ability to conduct credible technical conversations — without being the deepest expert in the room.
Responsibilities
- Drive new sales and account management towards the region's key customers
- Develop and implement the regional growth strategy
- Personnel responsibility for the region's engineering team, including recruitment and team development
- Collaborate with stakeholders within Qamcom such as other leaders, business developers, and project managers
Your Background
We are looking for you who have documented results from technical B2B sales — not necessarily from the consulting industry, but with an understanding of what it means to sell competence and solutions with high engineering content.
Requirements
- Proven sales ability within advanced technology solutions, preferably with project or solution sales towards industry
- Good technical understanding of embedded systems and electronics — sufficient to lead a customer meeting independently and gain the customer's trust before our engineers participate for deeper technical expertise
- Good understanding of consulting business and the implication of selling work packages in the form of commitments to customers
- Experience in personnel responsibility or team leadership
- Swedish citizenship is required due to regulatory and contractual requirements
- Very good communicative skills in Swedish and English
